Snapshots From Telluride

As you probably saw via Instagram, I was in Colorado most of last week. My family plans a ski trip every year where we usually pick a new destination that we've never visited before. This year, we revisited Telluride. The first time we were there was 12 years ago or more, so it was time to pay that adorable town another visit. We spent the week skiing, soaking in the hot tub, eating way too much, wandering about town, and just enjoying time with family. It was absolutely heavenly and I cannot wait to go back.

I felt like I was transported into an old western movie when visiting "downtown" Telluride. It was your typical ski town, with great shops, some fun pubs/bars, and some cozy restaurants. One of our favorite dinner spots was 221 South Oak.

Getting some mid-day ski selfies in at the very top of the mountain (the back bowl had the best skiing on the mountain!).

I am not lying when I say this, but this is the BEST smelling candle I have ever found. I don't know how I never heard of Paddywax before this trip, but I now know where I'll be buying future candles from. We also picked up this flavor. I somehow got away with my checked bag being exactly 50 lbs, even with all the candles and heavy crap we bought.

On our day off (our legs we're KILLING us), we bought a day pass at The Peaks Spa and relaxed in the sauna, steam room, hot tub, and pools. I'd definitely pay this place a visit if you're ever in the area - it was 4 stories of a spa and fitness center and the amenities we're perfect.

After a day at the spa, we relaxed outside by the fire with a cocktail and this incredible view in the background.

Another shot from The Peaks. They had yoga, pilates, and barre rooms, all of which we're empty and available to play in. Obviously I took full advantage to work on my inversions. Not every day you get an empty gym!

This was our backyard view (insert heart eye emoji here). You can guess where I spent every evening.

You find the perfect mirrored window, you have to take a selfie. It's a given.

Après ski heaven at Alpine Vino, the highest restaurant you can find on the mountain. It's the highest elevation fine dining restaurant in North America actually, so you can bet you're really up there. The grilled cheese/tomato soup combo topped off with a glass of wine was incredible.

Another favorite local Telluride eatery was The Butcher & The Baker. Gluten free blueberry pancakes, eggs and bacon, and a huge almond milk homemade, all made with local, organic ingredients.

Found the CUTEST shoes in a little t-shirt shop in Telluride, but they were sold out in my size. Luckily, I was able to snag them on eBay yesterday! You can also find them here & here.

The Casual Classic | Aspen Colorado

Nick and I have been dying to check out Aspen, and we coincidentally had a few friends there during the same time we were out west, so we decided to spend a night there. We skied Snowmass, which quickly became a new favorite of mine. Need to plan a trip here ASAP!

Lived in cozy athleisure the entire week as always. Outfit details: scarf, sneakers, leggings & top.

I always love a good kombucha, especially a local one. I was obsessed with the fact that groceries stores and restaurants sourced goods from local companies. This kombucha was made in Colorado and sold in the largest grocery store chain in the state!

Telluride is certainly one of my favorite ski towns to date. It's set up like no other, with gondolas that take you from the middle of the mountain (Mountain Village), to town and more. There was nothing cooler than riding the gondola down into town in the pitch dark, snuggled under a blanket. You don't need a car there at all - everything is accessible and easy to get to. The skiing is great, the food and restaurants are wonderful, and the town itself is a blast. I'd highly recommend booking a trip here!

Snapshots from Idaho

A couple weeks ago, I spend the week in Idaho. It was the most gorgeous, peaceful, and relaxing trip. Those mountains make me want to move out west so I can wake up to that view every day! The first half of the week we were in McCall, and the second half was spent in Sun Valley - one of my favorite ski resorts. We also got a little spontaneous and did a day trip to Jackson Hole (my absolute FAVORITE ski area). It was an incredible trip.

The drive from the airport into McCall was about 2 hours, but it was a scenic one!

The little cabin in the middle of nowhere Idaho - and it was the most peaceful, incredible spot.

That early sunrise view though.... Cannot be beat. Seriously may be the most gorgeous photo I've ever taken!

We spent an afternoon traveling to Burgdorf hot springs. The fun part of this adventure was that we had to get there by snowmobile. The road is unplowed in the winter, so it takes about an hour to get to the hot springs (going about 40 mph the entire time!).

The hot springs were so lovely and secluded. Loved the bare bones, non commercial feel of the place and the fact that there was barely anyone there.

This little cabin was about an hour and a half down an unplowed road - meaning no way to get there by car during the winter. Can you imagine having to plan a full day to go grocery shopping? Ha!

The drive into Sun Valley was so beautiful - plus check out those blue skies! It just can't be beat.

And we made it! Our little cabin was the perfect spot. It was cozy and had the perfect apres ski nook with a fire pit!

See what I'm talking about!? Perfection (although the addition of a hot tub would be pretty cool too).
