Black Maxi

It is ONE degree in New York. One degree. I literally want to crawl up in bed and be a hermit for the next month or so until winter goes the hell away. I'm still catching up on photos from the Cabo vacation that now took place a couple weeks ago (and somehow feels like forever), so you may be seeing a couple more posts from that. I apologize if it makes all you northerners want to make a mad dash for Mexico or just warmer weather in general. I know I sure do.
Have a great weekend!
Beach Wedding
Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent Maxi Dress c/o Piperlime // Michele Deco Watch // Joie Sandals (similar here) // Gorjana Bangle (similar here) // Margaret Elizabeth Ophelia Cocktail Ring
Dressing for a beach wedding is always a little different than dressing for a normal wedding. Beach weddings are usually a little more laid back and casual, but that doesn't mean you can't wear a gorgeous dress! First of all, you need to wear comfortable shoes that you can walk in in the sand (unless you are planning on changing, which is just far too much effort in my opinion). Secondly, easy, breezy pieces seem to be the way to go - a printed silk maxi (like I'm wearing above), a solid knit number with some beachy statement jewelry, or something linen... but you get the picture. This dress is my go-to for events like this. The low back is so gorgeous (please excuse my tan lines), and the silk just flows so perfectly in the breeze. Unfortunately, this dress is last year's style, but I've picked some more of my favorite maxis below!
