Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent Maxi Dress c/o Piperlime // Michele Deco Watch // Joie Sandals (similar here) // Gorjana Bangle (similar here) // Margaret Elizabeth Ophelia Cocktail Ring

Dressing for a beach wedding is always a little different than dressing for a normal wedding. Beach weddings are usually a little more laid back and casual, but that doesn't mean you can't wear a gorgeous dress! First of all, you need to wear comfortable shoes that you can walk in in the sand (unless you are planning on changing, which is just far too much effort in my opinion). Secondly, easy, breezy pieces seem to be the way to go - a printed silk maxi (like I'm wearing above), a solid knit number with some beachy statement jewelry, or something linen... but you get the picture. This dress is my go-to for events like this. The low back is so gorgeous (please excuse my tan lines), and the silk just flows so perfectly in the breeze. Unfortunately, this dress is last year's style, but I've picked some more of my favorite maxis below!

I love a simple, classic, look like this for an evening out. The back draping of this dress is everything you need to take a casual LBD up a notch. I wore this outfit one of our first nights in Cabo, Mexico, and it was so comfy and easy. You can dress a piece like this up with some heels, or even throw it on with sandals over a bathing suit during the day. When going on vacations, I love to pack multi-purpose pieces like this that you can wear day and night.

The temperatures this past week have been so incredibly strange! We went from the teens earlier this week to the 60's on Saturday and Sunday. I'm not complaining though, because I got to wear this gorgeous top without even worrying about a coat! I love pairing a feminine piece with something distressed or dressed down. The draping of this top is so beautiful, and the asymmetrical hemline makes it even more flattering than it already is. It's a new favorite of mine for sure.
