Lust List Vol. 38

The change of seasons is always difficult, because I love to shop, and when a ton of new things are launched all at once, I just want to buy EVERYTHING! This year, I'm trying to focus on a few basic things that I actually really need.

I bought this skirt, and it's absolutely amazing. It is adorable with the lace detail and fits like a dream, plus its appropriate for work. I highly recommend. Another thing I've been big on this season (and last) is the off the shoulder trend. I'm obsessed with the Tibi tops, but I haven't been able to fork over that much $ yet for one. I love the color and cut of this burgundy version - it's gorgeous! A chunky, block heel has been another thing to-do on my list. I need a cute pair of sandals that aren't sky high that I can wear for work and play. I love this Joie pair, and even though they are a bit high, I think they look comfy and wouldn't be too bad to walk in.

One piece bathing suits are all the rage this year - we all knew this trend would come back! I ordered this one and this one from J.Crew, and they are both absolutely perfect on. Super flattering and a great more modest option for times when you really don't need to be in a teeny bikini. Lastly... the bucket bag. I've had my eye on them for over a year now. I love the Mansur Gavriel style, but this one by Cuero & Mor is just so unique and beautiful.

PS - I just realized the link for the fringe shawl is wrong. You can find it here!

Lust List Vol. 37

First, can we talk about this bag?! HOLY COW. I was wandering through SoHo on a walk home from yoga the other morning and discovered it in the Maje store front. I was taking photos and snapping it at 7 AM like the nerd that I am. I of course went home and looked it up immediately (as the store was closed and I couldn't go stalk it in person), and surprisingly, I found that it is really inexpensive for a larger leather bag. I LOVE the fringe detail, the structure of the bag and the fact that you can wear it cross body. Also, it's much more amazing in person than in the photo.

I've been searching and searching for the perfect button up shirt dress for over a year now. I know, kind of a ridulous amount of time when shirt dresses are somewhat common, but like I've said before, I am super picky. Well I think I found the perfect one. It's slinky, silky, and pretty affordable. I've always loved the Equipment ones, but they don't make it in white (what the heck!) and I also don't want to drop that kind of dough. A shirt dress is the most versatile piece - you could dress it up for work, dress it down for a day time look, or wear it as a bathing suit cover up.

Lastly, I know you've all see the Tibi off the shoulder top that took over the internet last year. I know, I love it too, but again, couldn't bring myself to drop over $300 on a top. Lucky for us, Free People decided to make a identical version. I will be purchasing this immediately!

Lust List Vol. 36

Oh grey. How I love you so. I definitely consider grey one of my favorite colors. It can be so fun - take these booties for example. Aren't they just gorgeous? I love the unique cut and print. I recently fell in love with Freda Salvador when I purchased these beauties and now I want literally everything they make. You can never have too many booties right? Have you guys heard of this new workout brand yet? They are pretty new, but they have the BEST leggings (so worth the price). I love the fun color blocking of these. May need to grab a pair to mix up my boring collection of black leggings! Definitely something to try if you're getting a little worn out on Lululemon... Speaking of which, this sweater that just came out is to DIE for. Help! Like I need any more grey sweaters!

I know the bag looks just like a brand we all know and love (Mansur Gavriel), but it is so much more reasonable in price, and I have to admit, I like the color even more honestly. It's just beautiful! I've been on the hunt for one ever since I missed the boat on the Theory version I was obsessed with over the summer. I saw it in the store, and didn't grab it because of the price. Well it sold out, and now I can't find it anywhere! So sad. I'm just drooling over the new Mansur Gavriel arrivals by the way... They aren't good at only making bucket bags people! Last but not least, I grabbed this beanie (it's super on sale!) last week and it is the perfect staple. Plus, it comes in all of my favorite neutral colors so you can wear it with literally anything.
