Lust List Vol. 38

The change of seasons is always difficult, because I love to shop, and when a ton of new things are launched all at once, I just want to buy EVERYTHING! This year, I'm trying to focus on a few basic things that I actually really need.

I bought this skirt, and it's absolutely amazing. It is adorable with the lace detail and fits like a dream, plus its appropriate for work. I highly recommend. Another thing I've been big on this season (and last) is the off the shoulder trend. I'm obsessed with the Tibi tops, but I haven't been able to fork over that much $ yet for one. I love the color and cut of this burgundy version - it's gorgeous! A chunky, block heel has been another thing to-do on my list. I need a cute pair of sandals that aren't sky high that I can wear for work and play. I love this Joie pair, and even though they are a bit high, I think they look comfy and wouldn't be too bad to walk in. 

One piece bathing suits are all the rage this year - we all knew this trend would come back! I ordered this one and this one from J.Crew, and they are both absolutely perfect on. Super flattering and a great more modest option for times when you really don't need to be in a teeny bikini. Lastly... the bucket bag. I've had my eye on them for over a year now. I love the Mansur Gavriel style, but this one by Cuero & Mor is just so unique and beautiful.

I'm kind of obsessed with this weeks lust list. Sometimes, I throw in some things that I just "kind of" want, but today, I am just lusting after every thing on there! First of all, the brand new Vince handbag collection is to die for. I'm loving how they incorporated their V into most of their handbags. The Madewell Mira heels above have also been on my list for a while now - they have raving reviews, and the heel height is perfect for work. Plus, they are on sale today, with an extra 25% off!! OTTE NY has come out with yet another staple piece, this dress. During the summer time, this is their best seller, so of course, they had to come out with the perfect fall dress for the cooler months. That wrap above? Yea, it's from Target, and it's extremely inexpensive. Blanket wraps are so huge this season, and I'm so glad I found the perfect one without spending a fortune! Finally Zara. They've been stepping up their game lately, with more expensive, quality pieces. This leather jacket is higher than their normal prices, but it's definitely worth the investment. I've been eyeing their new cashmere sweaters also...

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday friends! I'm doing Friday favorites a little differently today due to me having far too many things I want to share with you guys (work has been slow this week, ok!?), plus the incredible amount of good sales going on right now. Looks like all the stores are clearing out their summer pieces to make room for the amazing fall styles that are starting to roll in....

1. PJs that double as an adorable outfit? Um, yes please. 

2. I've had a renewed love for Pinterest this week - I've been pinning like a mad woman. I have no idea what's gotten into me! So much "feel good" inspiration here, and of course I've updated my ever growing wish list with some goodies.

3. Rag & Bone, you've done it again. I've been wearing these shorts on repeat. I'm utterly obsessed with them. They are by far the best purchase I've made all summer, and I just wish they came in other colors! Maybe I'll pick up the One Teaspoon version next? 4. The espadrilles I've been drooling over are finally on sale (+ an extra 40% off that price)! I've only been able to find about two cute pairs of closed toe espadrilles, the other being these (aren't those ankle ties perfection!?). The colors of the J.Crew pair are so perfect and neutral though - navy or cream anyone? I'm leaning towards cream... 

5. At first glance, I thought this was the most perfect LBD, but it's actually a Marysia suit and Isabel Marant skirt. The most chic beach look ever? Yup.

6. I'm loving the super preppy bikinis this year. I'd love to add this monogrammed top or this frilly seersucker combo to my collection. Take me to Nantucket!

7. This new and upcoming designer, Mignonne Gavigan is incredible. Her creations are so insanely unique and cool - no wonder she's so successful after only 3 months. This necklace would be the perfect accessory to pretty much every piece in my whole neutral colored closet... 

8. Loving these 5 tips to starting your own business. Someday... 

9. You know those mirrored turquoise or blue Ray Bans that EVERYONE and their mother have been wearing? Don't deny it - you do (but if you don't, you can see them here and here).
