A Few of my Favorite Things

Sale season is here, and it's hard to avoid. Plus, now is the time when all the fall arrivals begin to come into play. I keep stumbling across so many new, amazing pieces that I just had to share some of my favorites with you guys!

  1. I suddenly hopped on the backpack trend this past week or so, and have been excessively searching for a nice leather backpack that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Of course, the two I included above are a bit out of my price range, but I'm obsessed with them!!! I found this option that is beautiful too, and a little most budget friendly. Plus, I've been searching The Real Real which is having a huge sale right now and has so many great options too.
  2. Cozy cardigans are my #1 piece in the cooler weather, so you know I'll be stocking up on them for the fall. This splurge worthy version is just gorgeous, but I also love this one that's included in the NSale this time around. Better price, and 100% cashmere!
  3. Rag & Bone is having a BIG sale - 40% off all of their sale items. I've been eyeing these booties for the past couple days, trying to convince myself NOT to pull the trigger...
  4. I've been on the hunt for a midi skirt for months and haven't been able to find one yet that I love. Now it's almost too late to grab one - the summer is halfway gone! I have been eyeing a few different styles on Revolve though, including this one, this one, and this one
  5. I'm SUCH a M.Gemi fan all the time, but they just came out with these loafers, and I literally want every single color (specifically the gray, luggage and natural ones). Gorgeous!!!
  6. These mules. They've been all over my Instagram because I cannot get enough of them. Oh, and they're on sale by the way.
  7. I've been on such an Everlane spree recently. They've seriously been killing it with their new slip dress (obsessed with the look, fabric, and PRICE!), the backpacks, and their shoe collection. I've been trying to find a pair of sandals/slides similar to Hermes, and this pair is just perfection.

The Black Slip Dress

This season, my number one goal is to find the perfect little black slip dress. WIth all the black and plain pieces I own, I don't have a slip dress that I am utterly in love with. I've tried many in the past, trust me, but nothing has really won me over. Maybe I'm just too picky... That and the fact that the ones I usually love are above and beyond my budget. I know we have some friends & family sales coming up (I believe they usually hit mid-end of March), so I'm doing my research early this year! A few of my favorites are below, and although not all of them are technically "slip" dresses, I'm in love with every single one.

Liv Dress // Milly Dress // Free People Slip // J.Crew Dress

That Milly dress is just gorgeous. I love the cinched waist and strappy back. It comes in an incredible blue and green color too. Although I'm not usually into bright colors, I'm really leaning towards the green one this time. Two of the dresses above are under $100, and I'm loving both. The Liv dress is so pretty and unique! Revolve always has some hidden gems on their site.

Anine Bing Dress // Alice + Olivia Dress // DVF Dress // Madewell Dress

One thing I've noticed about a lot of the black dresses this season, is all the lace that has been included in many of the styles. I LOVE a little lace trim on the bottom hem or neckline - just adds the perfect amount of sexy to the dress. This one by Aritzia is a favorite of mine, and it's even under $100! A big splurge piece would be this beauty by Givenchy. There are just no words. Alice + Olivia always has some great slip dress options too. Their Fierra dress has been around for years now. It's obviously a popular one since they keep bringing it back. Cami NYC, who makes my favorite silk cami, just launched their dress version, and I am in LOVE with it!

My number one pick, if I could have any of the slip dresses, no budget restrictions, would be a Nili Lotan (also here). They're popular and sell out fast, so they're pretty darn hard to find. I've always loved their dresses. They're simple, chic, sexy, and fit amazingly. They are the absolute perfect slip dress in my opinion. Some more of my favorites are below!
