GUEST POST: JULIE'S SKIN CARE ESSENTIALS

Skin, skin, skin.  I have become quite obsessive with my skin beauty regime and have been testing out products and scouring the skin and beauty blogs for all the best for as long as I can remember.  Here are some of my tried and true favorites for getting your skin to look flawless (even when you're just pretending).

1. Georgio Armani Maestro Fusion Foundation: I had heard so much about this before I bought it and it certainly lives up to the hype. It’s a bit pricier at $65 for a one ounce bottle, but totally worth it. The foundation is oil based so it absorbs into your skin and leaves just the pigment behind.  It is unbelievably light and provides just enough coverage for everyday wear.

2. Dr. Jart+ Waterfuse Smart Gel BB Cream: Coolest consistency, it feels like a thick, thick jelly and melts into skin for creamy coverage. Great for winter months when your skin needs a little more moisture!

3. Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Intensive Eye Contour Cream: I’m a big fan of Shiseido products, I love their wrinkle resist line and just picked this up. I wear it at night when I’m going to bed and it hydrates eyes so well and helps smooth out those under-eye lines.

4. Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Day Emulsion SPF 15 PA++: My every day mousturizer, layers well with makeup and it doesn't make me breakout or clog pores.

5. Josie Maran Light Argan Oil: I have very dry skin and have recently started using oils on my skin at night. Josie Maran’s Argan oil is great and doesn’t leave skin greasy or breakout prone, I also love coconut oil, super cheap and multi-functional and it doesn't break me out.

6. Benefit Fake Up: Very moisturizing under-eye concealer, won’t crease and doesn't look heavy on your undereyes.

7. Shu Uemera Oil Cleanser: Cult favorite, I still like a foaming face wash to take off make up but this is just so refreshing as a morning cleaner and leaves skin feeling so soft.

8. Weleda Iris Hydrating Facial Lotion: This smells like a day at the spa and is a great moisturizer; I keep some in my bag for whenever I need a little refresher during the day. Skin Food by Weleda is also another great product.

9. Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Concealer: Can’t live without this.  It works well as a spot cover up and as an under-eye concealer, melts perfectly into skin and comes with 2 shades in the compact for skin tone matching.

10. Lush Grease Lightening: For the breakouts, its loaded with tea tree oil and other essentials to clear up any spots.  Just be careful as it can be a bit drying.

11. Christian Dior Creme de Rose: I love this. Smells amazing, hydrates lips and leaves just the perfect amount of sheen in barely there pink. (Lips count as skin too, right?)
