Looking good every day takes some work, and these favorite products to help with that. My main essential is chapstick. I never leave the house without it, and Coola (which I just discovered recently through

Birchbox

, is unbelievable). Another couple other favorites include

EOS

 lip balm in mint, and

Baby Lips

. Anything with a little mint does the trick for me really.

Hair products for me are a complete life saver. I have very fine hair, so it's hard to make it look good without a little extra help. Anything that adds texture and body without weighing it down are wins for me. I've tried numerous dry shampoos, and Dove is above and beyond the best of them all. Shampoos and conditioners are another story... I'll include those in my next beauty essentials post (look for that next week).

One thing to mention is that I have very sensitive skin, so most of the products I feature above are great for that. The Peter Thomas Roth Retinol Fusion PM though, is something to use sparingly. I've read and done a lot of research on Retinol products, and there are many different opinions. I've come to the conclusion that if you use it sparingly, as in 2-3 times per week, you can reap the benefits. Remember not to ever use it before going into the sun because it makes your skin quite sensitive. I am have the type of skin that requires a much heavier/more moisturizing lotion in the winter, so Hope in a Jar (for dry skin), works so well in the dry winter months. The old favorite, Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion, has been reformulated, and is better than ever. I've used it for years, and still love it.

Now, let me talk just a little about NuSkin. Yes, I am a NuSkin distributor, but this brand is one of the best brands out there. I've been involved with it about a year or so now, and I use many of their products. Through thorough scientific research, they come up with the best solutions for anti-aging remedies, whether it is through skincare products or nutritional supplements. They offer a variety of different things, including a skin care line, a makeup line, a men's line, vitamins and supplements, a weight loss program, and the list goes on. Best of all, they give back to the community with their "Nourish the Children" program, which is a program when NuSkin donates a "VitaMeal" to children around the world who are starving (for more about that, visit their site

here

). The pearls (above), are one of their most award winning products. It takes only one use of the pearls, and you see a difference in the texture/elasticity of your face. I think it is great to start the anti-aging process early on. Who says you need to be wrinkled and already showing the signs of aging to begin? Why not start now?

I've been trying more to use products that are more natural and organic. As you can see, I'm definitely failing in the hair category, so if you have any recommendations of natural products that actually work, please let me know!

Beauty Sage

is a great site for natural and organic products. I am also a huge advocate of coconut oil, so I'm working on creating my own body lotion from that, but haven't quite figured it out yet. I'll keep you all posted on that.
