All I want in life is a claw foot tub. But really, I'm absolutely serious. Preferably one with gold accents, like in photos 1 or 6. There is just something so relaxing about taking a warm bath at the end of a long day, and what's better than being in a huge, old fashioned tub? The are so much more unique than just any old tub, and I love how they stand out on their own in a large room - they don't need to be in a corner or connected to anything else. Someday, when I have that big huge bathroom I've always wanted, there will be one of these bathtubs.
In the Home: Jewel Tones
Whether it's a simple accent to an entire wall, dark saturated jewel tone colors give a room so much character. The rich tone of these colors can really spice up a room, big or small. I've been swooning over the blue, teal, and purple velvet couches that have been appearing more and more often these days. They are the perfect accessory to an otherwise simple room. What do you think about adding some dark, rich colors to your place?
In the Home: Animal Behavior
I just love a little animal print accent or a cowhide rug in the home. It's the perfect finishing touch. I'm also a huge fan of (faux) fur and sheepskin, although sheepskin tends to get dirty easily if you're using it as a rug, unless its next to your bed - there is nothing better than having your feet touch that first thing in the morning. I keep a restoration hardware faux fur throw on my bed at all times and I'm just obsessed with how it looks and feels. You can check out some photos I posted of that here. Oh and that ottoman in the last picture? I need it immediately. Gorgeous.
