Look, I know that Labor Day is long gone, but due to me being on vacation last week, I got away with a summery, beachy look. Now I've always had a love/hate relationship with linen... You sit for more than five minutes, and the damn fabric is a wrinkly mess. But then again, I just can't get over the breezy, chic look of it. There is nothing better than white linen pants or a linen shirt during the warm weather. It wouldn't be linen without a couple wrinkles in it! Luckily this dress embraces the wrinkles with all it's layers and ruffles.
I discovered the Island Company while in Nantucket, and fell in love with every single one of their pieces. Almost everything they sell, other than their bathing suits and jersey pieces, are linen. I literally spent over an hour in the store, trying on every dress on the rack. Everything is made with that heavy, great quality linen (not any of that see through crap). Next on my list is this gorgeous pastel striped dress. This maxi is also just to die for. Why is summer over again?
