The Casual Classic blog: Stuart Weitzman

Stuart Weitzman x You

Dana Ryder August 28, 2014

This isn't anything new, since Stuart Weitzman did this with their famous minimalist sandal, but now they've brought out the customizable pumps. SW, can you do this for the 5050's next!? I'd be in absolute heaven.

First you pick your heel height - low, mid, high... which would you prefer? The shape of the Queen's (pictured above in the leopard print), are so amazing.

Now, pick your color and material. Crocodile anyone?

Finally you can choose your own size and width. The great thing about the customizable ones is that they sell sizes they don't sell in their normal shoes (like size 5 for all you little footed ladies).

Voila! You now have your own pair of customized pumps. So fun right!?

The Flounce Dress

Dana Ryder August 27, 2014

The flounce dress... Not the easiest style to pull off, but do it right, and it's adorable. I have had a small obsession with the Cynthia Rowley flounce dress all summer. I may or may not have gone to the store on Bleeker to try it on once... or maybe even twice. If I could have my way, I'd pick up the red version immediately.

This style has really picked up some speed this year, with many designers jumping on the bandwagon. The Cynthia Rowley version will always have my heart, (and is a perfect fall transition piece) but some more of my favorites are below.

Fresh pedicure... Nothing better. Plus my Rag & Bone shorts I've been wearing on repeat.

Loving those little flower boxes on the windows. There are so many things we would miss if we didn't stop and just look up sometimes.

Had lunch at Comodo on Sunday. It is the most adorable little restaurant. I loved the white roses...

That grafitti design... On one of the most gorgeous buildings in Soho. Too cool.

The shoe light? No idea, but had to snap a shot.

I did so much exploring over the weekend, I just had to share some of the pictures. I wandered around Chelsea and SoHo mostly, exploring the Highline and Meatpacking disctrict, and strolling the streets of SoHo - my neighborhood that I still have yet to really get to know. I found the most amazing Valentino booties (at Intermix), got a pedicure on Saturday, and shopped so many great sales at Scoop NYC and IRO to name a few. The weather was insanely gorgeous and warm for once on Sunday, so I used every excuse to be outside. Sometimes it's just so nice to have weekend to yourself, with no set plans, isn't it?
