As most of you know (if you saw my 5267843 Instagrams), I was in NYC the weekend before Christmas. We usually do an annual trip there before Christmas every year - theres just nothing like New York during Christmas. The energy, the lights, the decorations... everything is beautiful! We went up to Central Park and wandered, saw the World Trade Center memorial, and even went to a Chris Botti concert at the Blue Note. If you've never heard of Chris Botti and are even the slightest jazz fan, then you need to look him up. I had the goosebumps the entire concert - he's absolutely incredible.
Most of the weekend though, was filled with shopping. "Shop 'till you drop!" as my dad says. When you're on your feet all day and trying a lot of clothing on, you need to wear something that is easy to get on and off, as well as some very comfortable walking shoes. Lucky for us, NYC was in the 60's (and even 70's) all weekend, so I got to break out my flats that I had put away for the Winter. It was such a fun weekend in the city with lots of amazing food, fun shopping, and Christmas festivities. Some more photos from our weekend getaway to come soon!

Funny story about this gorgeous cashmere wrap... It's almost 10 years old. When I was in Buffalo for Christmas last week, my mom dug it out of the basement because she was going to throw it out. I told her absolutely not, and so it's mine! This will for sure be a Winter staple in my closet for years to come. Plus, that color! Burgundy, maroon, oxblood, wine... whatever you want to call it, it's so in style right now. I personally can't get enough of it.
For all of you who will be wanting this, it's made by a company called The Worth Collection, but it's obviously not available anymore (so sorry!). I did find it's identical twin though, for a much better price here. I may actually need to grab the grey one for myself... A cashmere wrap is definitely something worth investing in - such a chic piece.
