SPICING UP THE UNIFORM

Nothing like a good statement necklace to dress up the basic black outfit (aka, my every day uniform). I snagged this one on sale from J.Crew, and boy was that a good decision. It's the perfect amount of sparkle without being over done, and its also really well made. It's my first statement necklace, but I'm sure I'll be buying many more.

I just can't get enough of these Madison Harding boots. Aren't they incredible? They're on sale here at Piperlime right now too (oh, and they even come in the perfect burgundy/wine color also!). They run small, so I'd order at least a half size up. I just discovered this brand, and I am now definitely a huge fan. Shop my outfit and similar pieces below.

Fur Accents

Today is a sad day, because it'll be the last time I'll have bare legs until next Spring I'm sure... except for this weekend! We are going to Miami for the weekend for a little rest, relaxation, sun, and a Dolphins game, and I could not be more excited to get away. Black on black - my favorite combination ever. I'm loving all the leather accents this season - leather sleeves, leather leggings, leather tops... Funny story though - my whole outfit (except for the blouse), is from last year. I know that sometimes it's a royal pain in the rear when a blogger wears something that you want but is now unavailable, but I only wish I could be one of those girls that can buy a new designer piece to feature every single day. I do my best to wear up to date pieces that are still available, but I also love to feature some of my go-to favorite outfits, even if it is last year's... or older. Wearing a new, completely different piece every single day is near impossible for anyone, so why do that? Either way, I tried to find the most identical pieces to what I'm wearing above. If you're willing to hunt though, ebay, Tradsey and The RealReal are great websites that carry consignment designer pieces from previous seasons.
