The color of the season this winter was for sure burgundy... or wine, oxblood, maroon... whatever you want to call it, it was absolutely everywhere! I grabbed this J.Crew coat on a super sale at the end of the season to finally replace my 5 year old North Face Parka. It was time for an upgraded, more adult version, and now I wish I could have one in every color. It's my new go-to coat for the colder temps.

One of my favorite things is to search for some of the amazing deals at the end of the season sales. I've found some of my favorite winter pieces during the spring and summer as strange as that sounds. If you only focus on all the fun, new pieces coming out, you miss the huge savings on some of the best winter items. Even though I don't want to wear these again for another 10 months probably, I did just grab these Hunter Welly socks at 50% off... Another great find of mine was the Ugg boots. I purchased during an August sale at Shopbop (no joke). I seriously love shopping the sales.

As gorgeous as these snowy pictures turned out, I'm so over this weather. I usually am one who loves the snow, but when there is really little to no skiing within a 100 mile radius of where I live, then I don't appreciate the snow as much... and it really is getting old. I've never seen Columbus with as much snow as we have gotten this Winter. The weather is gloomy, the roads seriously suck (sorry, but the city needs to figure out this plowing situation), and its so. darn. cold!!!

On a brighter note, I am jetting off to Miami this weekend with my absolute best friend in the entire world, and I cannot wait. We planned a little girls weekend and plan to do a lot of relaxing, sunning, and of course enjoying a few cocktails. Make sure you follow along on Instagram, as I will be posting updates often!

Yes, I was absolutely freezing when doing this post, but I had just grabbed this jacket from Rebecca Taylor on a major sale, and I couldn't wait to wear it! I first discovered this tweed number when I was in NYC over Christmas, but it was just a little out of my budget. Then it went on sale... and on sale again. Needless to say, it was soon mine. I love the little peplum and fringe detail it has at the bottom - so feminine and girly! Definitely one of my new favorite pieces.
