Embroidered pieces are so big this summer. A little embroidery and lace puts the perfect touch on a maxi dress or a top. I love all the dresses Calypso St. Barth has right now - they are big on adding some embroidered detail to pretty much everything, like all of their tops, and this piece for example. J.Crew has also been going to town with this trend, with pieces like this top, and this dress. Are you guys digging this trend like I am?

Wedding Guest Attire

I am absolutely, 100% certain that this may be my favorite dress I've ever purchased. I wore this to my best friend's wedding in Pittsburgh last weekend, and felt like a total princess in it. You know those pieces that you wear that you just feel like a million bucks in? Well this was one of them. Amanda Uprichard really hit the nail on the head with this style. I really do want every color possible (see previous post). I will point out that it is quite long though - I'm almost 5'8, and I had to wear pretty high heels with this one, so if you plan on purchasing, make sure you have time to get it hemmed. I highly recommend it though - the fabric is incredible and the dress is extremely well made.

Amanda Uprichard Silk Maxi Dress (Desert & Hot Pink)

I have a thing for silk, and a thing for maxi dresses, so when Amanda Uprichard came out with this dress recently, I fell in love. I already own a gorgeous silk maxi, but of course would gladly add these two colors to my collection... 

By the way - I ended up picking up the purple version for last weekend's wedding. Stay tuned for photos of that!
